Does The Barkery Singapore have a physical location?

Yes we do! Our store is located at 326 Joo Chiat Road, S(427583).

Nearest Bus Stop: Bus 16

Nearest MRT Stations: Dakota MRT (take Bus 16 to Joo Chiat Road and we're only a 5 mins walk toward Dunman Road)

What are your opening hours?

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday to Saturday: 10am to 6pm
Sunday: 10am to 4pm
(may be subject to change during festive seasons!)

Please note that self-collection orders will only be available from 11.30am onward.

Are you licensed to produce food for dogs?

Yes we are! We are licensed by NParks to produce food for dogs, and our kitchen is regularly inspected by them.

Must I still pre-order before coming by your shop? Or can I just buy things off the shelves?

We'd definitely recommend WhatsApping or emailing us before coming by our shop. While we always keep a supply of biscuits and treats on our shelves, they sell out rather quickly. If you have a specific type of biscuit in mind, it would be best if you called first to check if it's in stock. Even if it's not on the shelves, we'd be glad to prepare your desired amount for you if you can give us enough notice :)

For products such as our pupcakes and cakes, they are only available with a pre-order.

As such, we'd definitely recommend pre-ordering anything you'd like to buy. However if you have a last-minute order or request, we'll try our very best to accommodate your needs :)

What modes of payment do you accept?

For online orders, we accept payment via PayPal, Bank Transfer, PayNow or Cash on Delivery (or Self-Collection); payment options may be chosen upon checkout.

For in-store purchases we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, NETS, PayNow, or Cash.

Orders

This is my first time ordering online, any tips to make the process more efficient?

Welcome to the Bakery! We would like to recommend that you create an account with us rather than checkout as a guest. This is for convenience and ease of use for future orders as you would not have to fill in the fields all over again.

Also, to save more time, we suggest that you opt to make your shipping and delivery information the same as your billing information.

I need my order immediately. Is there a cash and carry option?

Our biscuits, treats and frozen food items may usually be collected immediately. For large orders, availability depends on our inventory.

We appreciate at least 2 days of notice for mutt-loaves, birthday cakes and pupcakes as they are best consumed fresh.

However, you are most welcome to call us if you require any products urgently and we will accommodate your requests to our best ability.

Please do note that we will not be able to accommodate same-day delivery requests.

I've just made my order! How do I know if it's confirmed?

A confirmation email is automatically sent out with every successful order made. If you have not received a confirmation email, please contact us directly at sales@sgbarkery.com or WhatsApp us at 9155 6290, and we'll double check to see if the order was successfully made.

All the relevant information on your order, including date and time-slot chosen for delivery, and contact details, will be on the confirmation email. If you notice any discrepancies, or need clarification on anything on your order, please do note hesitate to contact us!

I'd like to change or cancel my order please! How do I go about doing that?

Please do call or text us at 9155 6290! Or you could also email us at sales@sgbarkery.com. We'd really appreciate either a text or an email to confirm the change or cancellation.

For regular items, such as cakes and treats, please do give us at least 2 day's notice if you'd like to change or cancel your order. The very latest we can accept changes to your order would be by 3pm the previous working day.

This does NOT apply to special or customised orders; please do give us at least 5 day's notice if you'd like to cancel.

If you'd like to change your order from self-collection to delivery or vice-versa, please do let us know latest 2 days before the date of fulfilment!

Please note that some items have to be specially ordered or made in preparation for fulfilment, so please do be sure before placing special orders!

How do I make a custom order?

For any other questions, please do WhatsApp us at 9155 6290.

Please note that for the time being, all pre-orders can only be accepted online via our website. We are not able to process orders via phone call or WhatsApp.

Please do note that we will not be responsive to texts, calls or emails outside our operating hours.

We may not be able to answer calls easily while we're manning the shop and seeing to customers, but please drop us a WhatsApp and we'll get back to you ASAP :)

Local Delivery, Collection & Shipping

Self-Collection

When your order is ready, it may be picked up at our shop located at 326 Joo Chiat Road, S(427583), between 11.30am - 6pm between Tuesday to Saturday, and between 11.30am - 4pm on Sundays.

Please note that we are unable to arrange for 3rd Party Delivery options (i.e. engaging Grab or Lalamove to deliver your order). If you'd like to arrange for your own courier to pick up your order, that's totally fine, but we will not be able to engage one on your behalf. 

We will also not be liable for any damage sustained by the items during transit for 3rd Party Couriers.

If you are planning to use a courier to collect your order, please do inform us beforehand so we are prepared; if possible, please give your full name and order to the courier, so we can also ensure they collect the correct order.

Please specify your preferred date and timing when placing your order. A date and time menu should appear upon the review of your cart before you check out for delivery or self-collection.

Please note that we are closed on Monday, and will not be able to offer either deliveries or pick ups on that day.

Delivery

We currently offer FREE DELIVERY for orders $70.00 and above. For orders below $70.00, there is a delivery fee of $18.00 per address. If your order is above $70.00, but you require delivery to two locations, please do note an additional $18.00 delivery fee will apply.

1. Our delivery time slot is 11-5.30pm; we are unable to offer delivery outside of those timings.

2. If you’d like your order delivered at a more specific timing (i.e. by 12noon or only after 4pm), we MAY NOT be able to accommodate such requests. We’ll certainly try our best to fulfil your requests, but we won’t be able to guarantee it as the timing of deliveries depend on the routes our driver has to take. 

3. If there is no one able to receive the order at the stated delivery address or if the customer proves uncontactable, our delivery team will wait for 10 mins, but will have to leave after that period so as to not jeopardize their other deliveries.

4. Re-delivery will be subject to an additional delivery fee of $18.00 and the availability of delivery dates. Alternatively, customers may collect their orders at our shop the following working day at no additional cost.

5. For items that require immediate refrigeration, i.e. cakes, pupcakes and our range of frozen food, we will NOT be able to leave them at your door unless explicitly permitted to do so, as there is a significant chance of contamination or food spoilage.

6. For items that do not require immediate refrigeration, such as our treats and biscuits, upon the customer’s request and full payment of order, we are able to leave it at your door step even if no one is home. The customer will accept full liability for the items for this arrangement.

7. Changes or confirmation to the delivery order will only be accepted via email with at least 48 hours notice. Any changes or requests made after that time will be accepted only at our discretion. We will NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ANY requests that come in after 10am on the day of delivery.

8. Our delivery team will send out a text when they are on their way to deliver.

Shipping

We offer a SHIPPING option via NinjaVan for a selection of dry items such as treats and certain supplements.

Shipping is FREE for orders above $50.00; for orders below that amount there is a fee of $5.00.

Delivery should arrive within 1-4 working days.

The Barkery's Reward System

How do I access the rewards system?

The rewards system may be accessed via the small orange square at the bottom right-hand corner of our website!

How do I accumulate points?

Points are accumulated with every dollar spent at The Barkery Singapore's website. They are credited to your account when payment has been made and the order fulfilled.

They may also be accumulated with purchases made at our store. Simply tell our staff that you'd like to accumulate your points upon payment at the cashier and she'll set it up for you!

What can I do with my points?

You may use your points to redeem free treats or biscuits from our store. Please note that treats priced above $15.00 are not eligible for redemption. The TURKEY JERKEY is also currently not eligible for redemption.

How do I redeem the points I have earned?

To redeem your points, you can do so online via the rewards system link. Please do indicate in the ORDER COMMENTS BOX before checking out which items you have redeemed. If you redeem items AFTER your have already placed your order, please do let us know via email.

Please do note that if we are not notified of your redemption via email or order comments, and if you do not tell us what items you'd like to redeem for, we will not be able fulfil the redemption.

You may then cancel the redemption, or have it brought forward to a future outgoing order (please do indicate the items redeemed in the ORDER COMMENTS BOX).

You may also choose to redeem at our store.

Please note that there will be a cap of 3 REDEMPTIONS at any one time.

Is there any expiry date to the points I've accumulated?

Yes. Rewards points remain valid 365 days after purchase, and will expire after.

Our Products

How should I store your products and what are their shelf-lives?

The biscuits and dehydrated treats may be refrigerated for up to 4-6 months. We've put in a desiccant, but please put them in the fridge, or at least a cool dry place to ensure longest lasting freshness!

The cakes and pupcakes may be kept refrigerated for up to 2-3 days, but do not freeze them (as the frosting may be affected in appearance). It would be best to start feeding them on the day they are delivered or collected. We'd recommend that you store our products in air-tight containers while refrigerated to maintain freshness.

The veggie frosting may be affected by cold air within the fridge, which can cause the frosting to dry up and crack. This happens quite rarely and depends on the fridge's internal temperatures and dryness. This can be avoided by ordering a PURE SWEET POTATO (ORANGE) frosting (which doesn't usually dry up or crack) for your cake, or by putting in cut veggies like celery or carrots in the cake box to maintain moisture.

Please do keep our products refrigerated and especially not at room temperature or worse, the hot sun, as they are prepared fresh and contain no preservatives.

Our meatloaves, meatballs and pies can last up to 4 days in the fridge :)

Why are some biscuits irregularly shaped or colored?

All of our products are lovingly hand-made. As such, each biscuit and pupcake is unique and will not be exact replicas of one another.

Such irregularities will not affect the quality or consistency of the treats in any way.

What kind of ingredients do you use?

At the Barkery, we believe all pets deserve all-natural and human-grade food.

Every ingredient used has been subjected to research and testing in order to optimize or increase your pet’s well-being. We also work to minimize the use of ingredients that fall outside a canine's natural diet.

Common and nutritious ingredients we use are minced meat (beef, fish, chicken or mutton) sardines, pumpkin, beetroot, orange sweet potato, carob and more.

Even the colouring we use is made from scratch by us and derived from fruits and vegetables.

Do you use any artificial ingredients?

No we do not. No artificial preservatives, colours or ingredients are used to create our products. Our biscuits and pupcakes are all naturally coloured and flavoured.

How will I know if my pet can eat your treats?

All of our ingredients have been screened to ensure they are non-toxic and beneficial for doggy consumption. We've also posted a full list of ingredients on our product pages to ensure full information is made available; if you wish to clarify any ingredient, please feel free to contact us directly!

However, it is the owner’s responsibility to be aware of allergies or food intolerances. Therefore, we suggest consulting your vet if you are unsure that your dog can safely consume our treats.

My dog is allergic to some of the ingredients. May I customise my order?

Definitely! We are happy to cater to the special needs of your dog.

For custom orders, the order will have to be at least one 700g Cake (Medium Barkday Cake OR Barkday Bone Cake), 500g of biscuits Or dehydrated treats OR 6 pupcakes.

Please note that all customisations will be subject to additional cost (to be confirmed upon email).
