We are a dog bakery that focuses on the well-being of your four-legged friends. That means human-grade food and treats that benefit them inside out. We believe in only producing the best for Man’s Best Friend.

Since starting The Barkery in May 2011, every single product that your pet enjoys has passed our stringent standards for quality, aroma/taste and presentation. In fact, we are not kidding when we say your pooch is eating better than most people when savouring our food.

Unlike a regular human diet, our food does not contain plain flour, sugar, sodium, cream, preservatives, artificial colouring or flavours and the list goes on.

Through years of cooking for our own beloved pets, we have learnt to substitute many ingredients to make it doggy-friendly.

No detail is too small for us - even the colouring we use is handmade and derived from fruits and vegetables.

The best way to help your faithful companion enjoy a long and fulfilling life or reward them for providing you with unconditional love is through giving them a healthy and beneficial diet. They don't hold back on their love for you, so why not give them the best?

We at the Barkery are also ardent supporters of local animal shelters - for the joy that they bring us, we believe every dog deserves a chance at a good life and for their generous love to be returned.


Profiles
The Barkery is owned and run by two sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth. They grew up in a household with dogs, which has made them the avid dog-lovers they are today.

Cooking and baking for her canine companions has always been second nature to Barkery's head baker Margaret.

A housewife, she started cooking for her dog Scampy after a healthier diet was recommended to remedy his skin problems.

She began with meals full of fish for him and now lovingly labours over elaborate birthday cakes. Every customer's request for something new and different is a challenge she tries to meet. Every treat must also look its best and enhance your pet's health before it can leave her kitchen.

Elizabeth takes care of the 'human' side of the Barkery by being in charge of marketing, sourcing and deliveries. She sniffs out the premium ingredients we use and is most happy to listen to your suggestions and ideas. She enjoys giving The Barkery a personal touch and knowing that both owner and pet are satisfied makes her happy. With a big heart for stray and abandoned dogs, she also organises drives to send The Barkery treats to shelters so less privileged dogs can indulge too.

Her golden retriever Toby is our faithful taste-tester and nothing goes up for sale without his gobble of approval.
